The Perfect Gift

The Christmas campaign for Waitrose needed existing music that could A) work as an upbeat trailer track for the montages, and cutdowns B) capture the emotion of the moment the two characters embrace. We found, and cleared 'She's A Star' by James and we cleared two recordings (the 90's original and an orchestral release from 2023) which gave the soundtrack the emotional range it needed. The era of the song and the lyrics also set the scene for a typical rom-com, which was a key part of the creative idea.
