The Gastronaut

This sci-fi film- launching Waitrose’s new brand platform ‘The home of food lovers’- follows Michael the astronaut in space, pining after delicious food as he’s repeatedly served ‘fuel’...until it becomes too much to bear. Michael takes matters into his own hands and hurtles back to earth. We see a rush of core food-focused memories, from recent family roast dinner to cheese at his wedding, before arriving home…in a Waitrose carpark. He heads for the store, telling a Waitrose partner he’s ‘picking up some bits for dinner’- achieving his mission to get back to what he loves most: Waitrose Food.
