SickKids 'The Count'

Our original composition reinterpreted a birthday chant popular in North America. The primary vision was to create a song, inspired by the feeling of a teacher accompanying children on acoustic guitar in a classroom, and evolving that into an emotional epic score. We wanted to convey a real sense of innocence, learning, and resilience. We were so lucky to be able to record the real children in the hospital as well as other children and live instruments to accompany them. Family members came to record supplementary counting and mic's were set up throughout the studio to capture varied natural reverb.
