See It Differently
This is a love letter to production craft and film crews. Without AI automation, BritBox wanted to celebrate craft and doing things for real.
The production includes techniques from throughout film history - painted backdrops, modern in-camera techniques, and showcasing techniques developed over the last century of film and television production, from matte paintings, to costume tricks, make-up and prosthetics, miniature set design, and back projections.
The whole film is entirely in-camera and done in a sequence of consecutive, single-take, highly choreographed shots. Before the 53,131 individual frames were expertly and seamlessly edited to just 2,160 frames.
