Ovo Energy - Power Struggle

The aim for the OVO spot was to bring the machines to life and give them personality. To create the original sound design, we spent an afternoon in a panic room, dismantling and abusing various white goods. Recording a pallet we then resampled.

We manipulated recordings of animals to give each appliance a distinct personality (snake for the charging cable). Finally, we recorded human Gremlin-style vocals to emphasize and embody the 80s horror references.

Together, these elements built a dynamic, and bespoke soundscape that brought the machines to life.
