Genesis - No Old Ideas

Inspired by automotive brand Genesis’ innovative spirit, this spot creates a cinematic story of how old ideas persist and compete for space. Each sound you hear was created specifically for the film. We spent days recording various surface contacts with wires and various other electrical goods on concrete, metal, and glass. We went through a series of testing with the animators making sure each bulb had a sound that matched its construction and its movement. We also recorded bespoke electricity sources and crackles, taking a huge amount of time placing all these sounds in the right environment.
