Fortnum & Mason: Bars of Chocolate

Fortnum & Mason sought to reimagine its chocolate bar collection to elevate attention and deepen emotional connection. Inspired by neurogastronomy and the insight that sound shapes taste, Otherway developed a concept which paired each chocolate bar with its own original musical score. Titled Bars of Chocolate, the idea played on the double meaning of musical bars, turning tasting into a multi-sensory performance. Collaborating with Mcasso and Veronika Semiykina, each bar has a bespoke sheet music illustrated within the packaging. Rooted in Fortnum’s heritage, the approach delivered strong commercial impact, driving significant sales uplift and reinforcing the brand’s creative, foodie credentials.
