Everything is Fine

The production design of Everything Is Fine, led by Robin Brown, brings contemporary Britain vividly to life, both satirical and infused with care and affection for the subject. The challenge was incorporating a mix of studio backlots, real locations, and built sets to create a cohesive world. The design elevates the everyday, finding beauty in the mundane, a municipal loveliness both familiar and heightened. Avoiding strict social realism, the art direction provides a backdrop for the exaggerated, Broadway-style world of the musical. The result is a hyperbolized yet recognisable Britain, balancing truth and theatricality to fully immerse the audience.
