Everything is Fine
Everything Is Fine brings to life and satirizes the seemingly insurmountable problems faced by contemporary Britain, taking form as an ironic musical. The challenge was finding equilibrium between comedy, genuine social commentary and musical performance. It was not about telling a joke, but making an observation on behaviour and the world around us. The more hyperbolized the world became, the funnier and the more potent the film was. The specificity was important, and making sure all the details were right, the small things. The accumulation of these choices created a world that an audience could believe in.
