"I’m interested in grounding comedy in emotional honesty, using sincerity as the setup before pulling the rug into something awkward or absurd. The humour comes from the small grossness of everyday life rather than heightened comedy, finding truth in things we’d normally rather ignore. I use quick cuts and tonal shifts to control rhythm, moving the audience between empathy, discomfort and laughter without overexplaining the joke. I try to be economical with storytelling, stretching moments just long enough to become funny or painfully familiar, trusting that precision, pace and restraint make the comedy land harder."
