DELIVERY

After casting her in a previous short, Rosie Chappel shared a picture - in scrubs, proud that she was about to qualify as a midwife. Then, over the next year, via countless Zooms, calls and voice notes, we developed a story using Rosie's lived experience of life and death pregnancy cases on an NHS ward to craft the story of Mary, a newly-qualified midwife undertaking the most challenging shift of her career. BIFA-nominated DELIVERY is the result, a drama focused on the incredible physical and psychological strain on midwives as they witness the long lasting impact of childbirth related trauma.
